This is an International School, based in New York City, that is devoted to growing the professional career of artists who want to advance in all levels of the art world from the Venice Biennial to street sales of art. The school was founded by Brainard Carey and his wife, Delia Carey, who are successful artists as well as entrepreneurs and authors. This is a growing school and your attendance through being a member helps to provide more resources for artists in the future. This subscription fees allow the school to expand and grow, and are used to generate more resources, because this doesn't happen on its own!
There are two levels that you can enter this program. The highest level is for those already mid way through their career looking to focus on the most ambitious goals in the art world like getting into major biennials, art fairs, and the best galleries. That is the Master level, and comes with all the resources of this school, including personal questions answered on an ongoing basis.
The other level is the Professional Development 101 which is required if you haven't had many exhibits in the art world or many sales. It will give you resources and updates on all the latest news and tips on how to get the relationships you need and the shows you want.
With both levels you get a weekly digest as well as access to a growing updated resource of deadlines for grants, awards, jobs and residencies.
Regular Interviews from our Yale radio show, The Art World Demystified, will also be added, so that the best minds in the art world will be keeping you updated on what you need to know to get your art seen.
Brainard Carey is the author of two best-selling books on Amazon that former director of the Whitney Museum called a "must have."
